Assignment:
Students will assume the role of one of the individuals who was present at the blast. A number of creative ideas are possible with this assignment. Students could write a report to J. Robert Oppenheimer describing the appearance of the bomb and their feelings about Trinity before, during, and after the test. They could also write and perform a monologue or a short skit about observing the bomb, or create an artwork depicting Trinity based on eyewitness accounts.
