Clifton Truman Daniel is the son of Margaret Truman Daniel and the grandson of President Harry Truman. He is a former feature writer and editor for the Morning Star and Sunday Star-News, a New York Times paper in Wilmington, NC. He is the honorary chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Harry S. Truman Library Institute in Independence, MO. He has traveled to Japan on several occasions to meet with Japanese officials and atomic bomb survivors.
