Herbert S. Bridge

Herbert S. Bridge was born in 1919 in Berkeley, California. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Maryland in 1941.During World War II, he became a member of the staff of the National Defense Research Committee Separation Project at Princeton. He then joined the staff at the Los Alamos Lab.

In 1950, he earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focused on cosmic rays and elementary particle groups. From 1950 until 1966, worked as part of the research staff at the Laboratory for Nuclear Science of MIT.
