Father Daniel Colibraro worked in Los Alamos during the last year of the war. He eventually would go on to become a priest.
EARLY YEARS
Colibraro was born on August 7, 1922 in Casper, Wyoming. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Wyoming and received his degree in mechanical engineering. While working for RCA in New Jersey, on June 16, 1944, Colibraro entered the U.S. Navy where he remained for about a year.
LOS ALAMOS
After separating from the Navy, Colibraro was employed at Los Alamos.
LATER YEARS
After the war, Colibraro began to pursue a PhD at the University of Iowa, but he ultimately entered the seminary in Denver, Colorado to study for the priesthood. He was ordained a priest for the Dioceses of Cheyenne in 1956. He retired from parish work in 2000.
Colibraro passed away on April 19, 2016 in his hometown of Casper, Wyoming.
