Roger B. Sutton

Roger Sutton (1916-2000) was a Canadian-American physicist.

Sutton was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. He earned a B.S. and an M.S. from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Ph.D. from Princeton University.

Sutton spent three years working on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. After the war, Sutton helped create the Physics Department at Carnegie Mellon University together with other Manhattan Project scientists. He later helped to design and build a synchrocyclotron, or particle accelerator, for the university.
