Laverne Bloom worked as a Military Policeman from 1945-1946 in Hanford, Washington. While not on guard duty, Bloom often cooked for his troop and occasionally made meals for the director of the Manhattan Project, General Leslie Groves.
Reuben McCord was a chemist who worked at several Manhattan Project sites. After graduating from Erskine College in South Carolina, he was recruited to work at the University of Chicago Metallurgical laboratory.
Herbert Stanwood, Jr. worked for the United States Engineer District Office.
