Louis Bernard Werner

Louis Bernard Werner was an American chemist.

Werner received a B.S. from the University of Idaho, and was working on his doctorate at the Univeristy of Chicago at Berkeley when he was recruited to work on the Manhattan Project at the Chicago Met Lab. He worked in the Chemistry Division under Glenn Seaborg, and would also go on to work at Oak Ridge and at Hanford.

After the war, Werner finished his Ph.D. and worked at the U.S. Naval Radiological Defense Laboratory and later as a representative of the Atomic Energy Comission in the United Kingdom.
