Leon Sayvetz was a research assistant at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago during the Manhattan Project.

He recieved a B.S. from the University of Chicago in 1941 and an M.A. in 1949.

Sayvetz died on April 24, 2014 at his home in Puget Sound, WA.
