George A. Sacher (1917-1981) was an American biologist. Sacher was born on June 24, 1917 in Newark, New Jersey. He worked as a mathematician and biologist at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago during the Manhattan Project. He was one of seventy signers of the Szilard Petition in 1945.

After the war, his background in radiation biology led to an interest in gerontology. He spent the majority of his career researching lifespan issues.

Sacher died on January 24, 1981 after suffering a pulmonary embolus.
