Evelyn O. Gaston was a laboratory technician in the Health Division at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Anthony D. Capua, Jr. served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned as an assistant engineer/scanner in the Up An’ Atom, but did not fly in that plane in the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Peter Korzaan served the Manhattan Project in the Provisional Engineering Detachment (PED) at Los Alamos from 1945 to 1946.
