Clyde Stanley Shields was born on December 28, 1918 in Wichita, Kansas. After graduating from Mitchell High School in South Dakota, in May of 1936, Shields enlisted in the South Dakota National Guard.
Bonnie Pauline Hardwick Rogers worked at the Y-12 Plant, operating the machinery separating the uranium isotope U-235 from it's heavier counterpart U-238.
Richards worked at the 100-D area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
