William Hinch was a research associate at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Clyde Stanley Shields was born on December 28, 1918 in Wichita, Kansas. After graduating from Mitchell High School in South Dakota, in May of 1936, Shields enlisted in the South Dakota National Guard.
Martha Jackson Ross studied history and English at Montevallo College for Women. She worked on the Manhattan Project at Oak Ridge.
