Irwin P. Sharpe was born in 1921 and died just short of his 100th birthday in 2021. He was recruited for the Manhattan Project by his employer, General Electric, after he graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in engineering in 1942.
E. A. Pluhar worked for the Union Carbide & Carbon Corporation.
Paul J. Esterline was an engineer. He attended Ohio State University for two years, and then attended the Chicago Technical Institute in the late 1920s, learned engineering drafting there.
William Twyford served in the 603rd Air Engineering Squadron.
