Jerry Saucier came to Hanford from Lowell, Massachusetts in 1943. Originally an inspector in charge of maintaining the barracks, he later became an operator at various Hanford reactors, including B Reactor.
Joseph LaRocco was a security guard at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Before her time at Oak Ridge, Alice Stein was a stenographer. With a lack of need for stenographers, Alice began working in production for war planes until she asked to operate cyclotrons at the Y-12 plant.
George W. Ellis served in the 1st Ordnance Squadron.
