Kattie Strickland was part of the janitorial staff at Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project. Unlike the white women whom she worked along side, Ms.
Paul Vinther arrived in Hanford in 1950 where he worked as a physicist and reactor operator. Vinther worked alongside DuPont and observed first hand DuPont's safety philosophy as well as many of the safety measures put in place to protect workers at the plant.
