Alan Vorwald was a mathematician in the Special Engineer Detachment at Los Alamos. Vorwald was a part of the theoretical physics division under Hans Bethe and Richard Feynman, specializing in the computing department.
Paul W. Gruning served as a 2nd lieutenant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the bombardier on the B-29 Jabit III on the Hiroshima mission.
