G. Robert Gunther-Mohr joined the Manhattan Project in 1944. Mohr worked on the top secret polonium trigger being developed for the plutonium bomb at the Monsanto Chemical Company in Dayton, Ohio.
J. R. Pierson worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Elbert Christman Owens served as a master sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned first to Luke the Spook and later to Big Stink.
