James S. Duva served as a 2nd lieutenant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the navigator on the B-29 Jabit III on the Hiroshima mission.
Robert Holmberg was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and began working on the Manhattan Project at the Chicago Met Lab and at Ames Laboratory in Iowa.

Eleanor Gish was a laboratory worker at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
