George Moulton was an American chemical metallurgist.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Drury College, he began conducting research on radioactive metals at Iowa State. He was recruited for the Manhattan Project, working at Los Alamos in 1944-45. He witnessed the Trinity test with friends from a nearby hill, avoiding the Military Police securing the area. He went on to a career as a chemical metallurgist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was an avid skiier and hiker.
