David Purdon served as a member of the 393rd Bombardment Squadron in the 509th Composite Group. He was the radio operator regularly assigned to the Laggin’ Dragon.
Levey was a member of the Army Special Engineering Detachment who worked at the K-25 plant at Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project.
Johnston worked at the 200 West Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
