Elda Anderson (1899-1961) was an American physicist. After spending her entire life and career in the state of Wisconsin, Anderson was uprooted by the Manhattan Project in 1941.
Ruth Elizabeth Cone was from Nashville, Tennessee. In 1943, she moved to Oak Ridge with her husband, Willard C.
Jose E. Alcanes was a staff member at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
Ruth Boe worked at the Met Lab in Chicago from November 1943 through June 1945. She was in Farrington Daniels’ division, in the graphite research section.
