John Attanas was born in 1920 and grew up on farm near Kingston, New York. After graduating from Georgia Tech in 1942 with a degree in chemical engineering, he worked in a chemistry lab at the Remington Arms Company.
Jack Aeby graduated Mound City (MO) High School in 1941. He went to the University of Nebraska, studying chemistry until the spring of 1943 when he received his draft notice.
C. J. Sturm worked for the Roane-Anderson Company.
C. D. Emmons worked at the 100-F Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
