James S. Duva served as a 2nd lieutenant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the navigator on the B-29 Jabit III on the Hiroshima mission.
Leon D. Smith joined the Manhattan Project in 1944 and was assigned to the 509th Composite Group at Wendover Airfield in Utah.
