Robert Martens was a research associate at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.

According to the Journal of Glenn T. Seaborg, Vol. 2, Martens was a group leader in Section IV led by George Boyd (p. 7). He was transferred to Clinton Laboratories in Oak Ridge, TN on September 1, 1943 (p. 115).
