National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

Donald A. Young was born in Detroit, MI. He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Detroit College of Medicine and Surgery in June 1933.

Dr. Young served in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron of the 509th Composite Group during the Manhattan Project. He was the flight surgeon to the Enola Gay.
