George W. Marquardt served as a captain in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. Although he was regularly assigned to the Up An’ Atom, he flew in the mission to bomb Hiroshima as the aircraft commander of the Necessary Evil.
Lavernier worked in the 200 West Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
H. W. Dube served in the 390th Air Service Group.
Ernest Mekanas was a member of the Provisional Engineering Detachment at Los Alamos. Mekanas was in Los Alamos from 1943 to 1945, working primarily at the post office.
