Beverly W. Lewis was a chemist at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project. Lewis was also a member of the United States Army’s Special Engineer Detachment (SEDs).

According to the Journal of Glenn T. Seaborg, Vol. 3, Lewis worked on “shotgun” tests (p.425). He was a SED working in Group 4 – Analytical of Section C-II in the Chemistry Division (Seaborg, Vol. 4, p. 384).
