E. J. Beever worked for the Union Carbide & Carbon Corporation.
James R. Corliss served as a technical sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned to work as a flight engineer on the Up An’ Atom but did not fly in that plane during the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Mr. U. M. Staebler graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. degree in Physics in 1942, and had since devoted his entire professional career to the field of nuclear energy.
R. T. Asseff served in the 390th Air Service Group.
