Anthony D. Capua, Jr. served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned as an assistant engineer/scanner in the Up An’ Atom, but did not fly in that plane in the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Patterson worked in the 100 B Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
Walter A. Spradlin served as a staff sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the tail gunner regularly assigned to the B-29 Strange Cargo.
Curtis Nelson worked for the United States Engineer District Office.
