John L. Willoughby served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Bockscar.
John worked at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project, as Enrico Fermi‘s bodyguard. He moved with his wife and daughter to Los Alamos in 1943.
Gordon Dixon worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
