Miriam P. Finkel was an associate biologist at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
Robert Coveyou was a mathematician and health physicist that worked at both the Met Lab in Chicago and at the X-10 graphite reactor in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Laverne Bloom worked as a Military Policeman from 1945-1946 in Hanford, Washington. While not on guard duty, Bloom often cooked for his troop and occasionally made meals for the director of the Manhattan Project, General Leslie Groves.
