Cardea Hubbard was a laboratory assistant in the Chemistry Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project. According to the Journal of Glenn T. Seaborg, 1942-1946, Vol. 3, She worked in the dieners group, which was responsible for cleaning and inspecting radiological equipment.
