E. E. Kirkwood worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Bernard Peters (1910-1993,) born Bernhard Pietrokowski, was a Polish-born physicist. Peters was born in Poland and later moved to Germany.
Whipple worked at the K-25 plant at Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project. He was also a member of the K-25 basketball team.
