Joseph Slaby served in the 320th Troop Carrier Squadron.
Arthur N. Jaffey was an associate chemist at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Floyd W. Kemner served as a 1st lieutenant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the regularly assigned flight engineer for the Big Stink, and he and his crew were later reassigned to Luke the Spook.
