Elsie Mae Freeman was born in Missouri in 1900. She graduated high school in Chicago. After graduating, Elsie was recruited to work in a lab at the University of Chicago in 1919.
William Stewart was an engineer in the Special Engineering Detachment at Los Alamos, New Mexico. Specifically, Stewart worked in “Project Trinity” under the leadership of George Kistiakowsky and Kenneth Bainbridge.
Attended the University of California, Los Angeles.
