Margaret H. Dike was born in Prescott, Arizona, and she grew up in Cimarron, New Mexico. Before the war, Dike worked at the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism in Washington, DC.
Vanstrum began working on the Manhattan Project soon after receiving his engineering degree from the University of Minnesota.
James I. Pegram served in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron.
