J. P. Moore worked as a chemist for US Vanadium Company and then as Chief Chemist at Grand Junction, CO, where he analyzed uranium.
Dorothy worked at Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project as a “calutron girl.” After her brother was killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor, she was eager to join the war effort, and did so starting in 1944.
Gene Preston Rutledge was a nuclear energy scientist and chemist. During World War II, he worked fulltime to fund his education.
