Ben Benjamin was a sergeant in the Special Engineer Detachment during the Manhattan Project. He had previously worked in industry making lenses and prisms, and was assigned to the Optics Group to help with photographing the Trinity Test.
Jas C. Deane worked for the Fercleve Corporation.
Madsen worked in the 100 D Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
Elwin Covey was an assistant and protégé to Glenn Seaborg, and spent most of his time with the Manhattan Project at the X-10 plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
