By Avani Sihra Keith Adamson was a colonel in the United States Army. He was an ordnance expert and a key military representative at the National Bureau of Standards.
Dr. Karl Larsen worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology during the Manahattan Project. While there, he conducted heavy-water research by spectrum analysis, which was one of the prerequisites to the early atomic bombs.
Frederick J. Shon (1926-2000) worked on the Manhattan Project at Columbia University. Born in New York City in 1926, Shon was recruited to work on the Manhattan Project while pursuing his undergraduate degree at Columbia.
