William F. Jellick served as a corporal in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew on the B-29 Jabit III.
Enrico Fermi (1901-1954) was an Italian physicist and recipient of the 1938 Nobel Prize in Physics. In 1942, Fermi relocated to the Chicago Met Lab, where he built an experimental reactor pile under Stagg Field at the University of Chicago.
Beatrice (Freeman) Sheinberg was a member of the Women’s Auxillary Corps (WAC) and worked at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
