Dorothy Vanderford (1973- ) is the granddaughter of J. Robert Oppenheimer. Although Vanderford never met her grandfather, she knows the family narrative well and her father, Peter Oppenheimer, was a child during the Oppenheimer trial.
John Costa worked at the shop in the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
