Dimas Chavez was a young child when he moved to Los Alamos with his family in August 1943. Chavez’s father, Trinidad, joined the Zia Company at Los Alamos, where he helped construct and maintain the laboratories and facilities there.
Eleanor Lewis was a laboratory technician at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Steve C. Lizak served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Enola Gay.
