Obituary: George J. Beichl, 96, chemistry professor, former POW
Richard Harlan “Dick” Stark (1916-2007) was an American mathematician and computer scientist. Stark was born in Ozawkie, Kansas.
Dimas Chavez was a young child when he moved to Los Alamos with his family in August 1943. Chavez’s father, Trinidad, joined the Zia Company at Los Alamos, where he helped construct and maintain the laboratories and facilities there.
Claude E. McLenon served as a technical sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Big Stink, and he and his crew were later reassigned to Luke the Spook.
Elbert B. Smith served in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron.
