George Hyde

George Hyde was a chemist assigned to the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee from February 1944 to the end of the war. Hyde received a B.S. with high distinction in Chemistry from the Worcester Technological Institute. He was a civilian employee for both the Tennessee Eastman Corporation an Carbide and Carbon Chemical Corporation. Hyde's worked primarily at the Y-12 electromagnetic enrichment plant in building 9203. In addition to general chemical analysis he worked on improving methods of monitoring radiation exposures.
