The nose of the B-29 Superfortress "Straight Flush"

Pasquale Baldasaro was a radio operator aboard Straight Flush, one of the B-29 Superfortress aircraft that participated in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The Straight Flush monitored weather conditions in advance of Enola Gay and the dropping of the atomic bomb on August 6, 1945. Baldasaro reamained on the crew of Straight Flush in the 509th Composite Group through the end of 1945.
