Ivan Behymer came out from the Dupont 'black powder' plant in Illinois to Richland, Washington (Hanford) in March of 1943. As a part of the Manhattan Project from March 1943 to the end of the war, Behymer was primarily involved in administrative duties. He served with Dupont, AEC and General Electric before retiring in 1971.
