National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

Adam Rondinone is the Co-Director for the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) as well as the group leader for MPA-CINT at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was previously an electrochemist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Born in New Hampshire, Rondinone became interested in science as a child. He became acquainted with Oak Ridge after visiting the user facilities to complete experiments for his graduate program at Georgia Tech. This led him to a full-time position at the Laboratory, where he and his team have been creating innovations in nanotechnology, including the development of new types of energy storage and conversion systems.

Julian Schwinger

Julian Schwinger (1918-1994) was an American theoretical physicist and the 1965 Nobel Prize winner. During the summer of 1943, Schwinger briefly worked on the development of the atomic bomb at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory.
