Albert Myerson was a chemist and research assistant at the SAM Laboratory at Columbia University from 1942 to 1945. He supervised a young lab assistant named James Forde.
Myerson received his undergraduate degree in Physical Chemistry from Pennsylvania State University in 1941 and his Ph.D. in the same subject from the University of Wisconsin in 1948. He worked on the uses of uranium hexaflouride, notably on its combustible properties.
His research continued after the war, including on projects with General Electric, Cornell University, and Exxon.
