Jacob W. Cox was born in Pittsburgh PA. on September 27, 1913. He graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology on June 8, 1936 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Helen Atchley worked at the Y-12 Plant during the Manhattan Project. She and her best friend, Dorothy Stinnett, are both pictured in Ed Westcott’s famous photograph of people going to work in the Y-12 Plant.
Leonard Cheshire was born on September 7, 1917 in Chester, England. During World War II, he served in the Royal Air Force.
