Jacob H. Wiens was a nuclear physicist who worked on the Manhattan Project from 1943 to 1945. He later worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where he interacted with Luis Alvarez.
William J. Desmond served as a 2nd lieutenant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the pilot regularly assigned to the B-29 Strange Cargo.
Ralph A. James (1920-1973) was a research associate in the Chemistry Division at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
F. C. Spry worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
