Bernice Brode (1901-1989) was a “computer” during the Manhattan Project and the wife of American physicist Robert Brode.
Waldrop arrived at Oak Ridge in early 1944, directly after receiving his Army basic training. At Oak Ridge, he worked at the Y-12 plant during the Manhattan Project.
