Richard Gaul was fresh out of high school when he arrived in Los Alamos. He was a member of the Provisional Engineer Detachment (PED).
William Haag was a member of the Special Engineering Detachment at Los Alamos from August 1945 to the end of 1946.
John D. Kuharek served as a master sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was assigned to the Great Artiste as a flight engineer and flew in the mission to Hiroshima.
